Wartime Placement

Description

Today, many of the town's original structures that either served as private residences, government offices, or military supply buildings, still stand and completely accent this unique park. Standing out and visible from most locations you may be standing around Harpers Ferry is St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. During the war, and as the town changed hands a number of times, the church's neutrality was emphasized with the flying of a British Union Jack flag.
