96th Pennsylvania Infantry

Description

The 96th Pennsylvania Infantry arrived with the Army of the Potomac's Sixth Corps on the afternoon of July 2, 1863 and was moved ahead for support as the Confederate attacks were ending. The regiment spent much of its remaining time on the field around Plum Run. This monument is located along Wheatfield Road.
