Georgia State Monument

The impressive Georgia State Monument was dedicated in 1899. At eighty-six feet tall, the granite structure features four large bronze figures and honors the men from Georgia who fought in the battle. It is located at the position where Benning’s Georgia Brigade broke through the Federal lines during Longstreet’s assault on September 20, 1863.
