Physical Determination

Running beside the Shenandoah River, this still active line was the Winchester & Potomac Railroad when Confederate General A. P. Hill's troops dragged their cannon through here on the night of September 14-15, 1862. More obstacles and challenges awaited them before the Battle of Harpers Ferry would be decided.
