Loudoun At Large

With this view from Loudoun Heights, the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers is taken in at the historic Lower Town of Harpers Ferry. During the September 1862 battle here, Confederate General John G. Walker's troops positioned their guns up here to open fire with Union artillery and help surround the garrison.
