Lee & Gordon's Grist

Description

Originally built in 1836 and later rebuilt, Lee & Gordon's Mills became a landmark for both Union and Confederate soldiers. Strategically located along West Chickamauga Creek, it not only saw the armies moving around it in September 1863, but consistently hosted area skirmishing actions throughout the war.
